Next Generation WDS appliances
Riverbed has announced the availability of new Steelhead appliance models 250 through 2050 in addition to the existing xx20 model series. The new models provide greater scalability with more connections, more bandwidth capacity, and larger data stores. Since WDS has become more critical to the enterprise infrastructure, the new Steelhead appliances provide high availability features on 1U models such as RAID, redundant power supplies, and on-board bypass ports.

Aruba the first wireless LAN vendor to obtain common criteria certification
Aruba has announced that it is the first wireless LAN supplier to be awarded a Common Criteria EAL-2 certificate for its Wi-Fi solutions. Aruba is the only wireless LAN vendor to meet EAL-2, FIPS 140-2, and Directive 8100.2 requirements. Accordingly, the company’s adaptive wireless LAN and identity-based security solutions are able to address a wide range of new domestic and international government, financial, and commercial applications.
