Infoblox-250

The Infoblox-250 network services appliance is designed to serve small enterprise and branch-office applications, and can be deployed as a standalone unit or in high-availability pairs. The Infoblox-250 has the capacity to support 12,500 database objects and up to 3,000 DNS requests per second, making it ideally suited as an integrated DNS/DHCP/RADIUS/TFTP appliance in the branch office of a distributed or global enterprise. The Infoblox-250 breaks the "white box barrier" because it's priced at little or no premium to general-purpose servers with standard operating systems. Due to the operational savings provided by an appliance compared with managing standard servers, the Infoblox-250 pays back very rapidly and generates net savings as well as improved performance and availability.

For software packages that include the Infoblox DHCP module, two versions of the Infoblox-250 are available: One targeted at small sites such as retail stores and small branch offices that supports up to 100 dynamic IP leases; and one that supports up to 300 IP leases to accommodate larger stores and branches with more people and devices. By combining DNS, DHCP, RADIUS, TFTP, NTP and other services in a single, low-cost appliance, distributed organizations can now achieve more reliable, survivable branch operations while increasing security and lowering management costs.

Infoblox-550

The Infoblox-550 network services appliance is designed to serve small to medium enterprises and regional branch-office applications, and can be deployed as a standalone unit or in high-availability pairs. The Infoblox-550 has the capacity to support 25,000 database objects and over 12,000 DNS requests per second, making it ideally suited as a stand-alone external DNS appliance in a medium enterprise or as a member of an Infoblox grid in the regional office of a distributed enterprise.

The Infoblox-550 supports all network service modules including DNS, DHCP, RADIUS, TFTP, and the Integration for VitalQIP Software module. It also supports the grid module and deploys easily at remote branch locations.

The Infoblox-550 ships standard with the purpose-built, security-hardened Infoblox NIOS™ operating system software, which provides industry-standard, high-availability failover and also includes the powerful, built-in bloxSDB™ database.

Infoblox-1050

The Infoblox-1050 network services appliance platform is designed to serve small- and medium-sized enterprises and branch-office applications, and can be deployed as a standalone unit or in high-availability pairs. When equipped with the DNSone® package, the Infoblox-1050 has the capacity to support 150,000 database objects and serves over 24,000 DNS requests per second, making it the most powerful DNS and DHCP appliance in its class.

The Infoblox-1050 can be deployed standalone, as a grid member, or as a grid master for smaller grids. In addition, the Infoblox-1050 can be used to provide remote server functions in an Alcatel-Lucent VitalQIP® environment using the Integration for VitalQIP module.

The Infoblox-1050 ships standard with the purpose-built, security-hardened Infoblox NIOS™ software, which provides industry-standard, high-availability failover and also includes the powerful, built-in bloxSDB™ database.

Infoblox-2000

The Infoblox-2000 hardware platform is designed for deployment in data centres, large enterprises, and service provider environments. Key features, such as redundant power supplies, fans, and four-disk RAID storage, provide the availability needed for nonstop delivery of core network services. The Infoblox-2000 supports both AC and DC power options, facilitating deployment in any enterprise or carrier environment.

The fault tolerant Infoblox-2000 includes fully redundant, hot-swappable components to assure the reliability of all moving parts. Any failure of a component will not cause a failure of mission critical network services. There is no need to stop services or power down the appliance to perform maintenance or to replace a failed component.

When equipped with the DNSone® package, the Infoblox-2000 supports 1,200,000 database objects, serves more than 75,000 DNS requests per second and 750 DHCP leases per second, providing the capacity and performance required for the most demanding applications.

The Infoblox-2000 can be deployed singly, in high-availability pairs, or as a master candidate for delivering external DNS services for an enterprise’s Internet presence, disaster recovery site, or for internal DNS, DHCP, RADIUS, and TFTP services in a data centre or a large campus network. Also, equipped with the DNSone with Grid™ package, the Infoblox-2000 can serve as a grid master or master candidate for large Infoblox grids consisting of hundreds of distributed Infoblox appliances.

In addition to the DNSone and DNSone with Grid packages, the Infoblox-2000 also supports all Infoblox NIOS™ modules and packages including Network Services for Authentication (NSA), Network Services for VoIP (NSV), Network Services for Alcatel-Lucent VitalQIP (NSQ), and the Network Services Suite (NSS).

As with all members of the Infoblox appliance family, the Infoblox-2000 includes the purpose-built, security-hardened Infoblox NIOS™ software, which provides industry-standard, high-availability failover and also includes the powerful, built-in bloxSDB™ database.
